The Convention is Coming! The Convention is Coming!

Thursday will be a great day. That is because it is the day that I go to the Baltimore Convention Center to pick up my ID badge for Otakon. Those who pre-registered are allowed to do that so we don't have to wait in the ID pick-up line on Friday morning. I am sooo excited!

Today, my Dad and sister rode with me up to Baltimore so that I could make sure I'd know how to get there on Thursday and Friday. I drove in the city! One-way streets can be confusing, though. However, Pratt Street (the street the convention is on) is the second right as soon as you get off the vridge leading into downtown Baltimore. That's great since my hotel is on South Street which is just about 5 blocks away from the Convention Center. I so can't wait. It'll also be easy getting back home on Sunday after everything is over.

My Mom is giving me her camera and some extra film so I don't have to pay for disposables and mu Dad is giving me money to spend at the convention. I can't wait to hit the dealers room. This will be the best time I've had since Jen, Steph, and I drove down to Myrtle Beach for Spring Break. I wonder if anyone from the AS boards is going? Hmmm...

In other good news, I saw the guy from last weekend again yesterday at work. I'll call him D. He asked how come I didn't call (I didn't because I always feel weird about calling people). I asked him why he didn't call and he said it was because he knew he'd see me there. That was a nice ego stroke. I guess I better put some effort into this if I want it to work out, huh?
